Responsibilities:

  • Performs month end, quarter and year end close activities - prepares payroll journal entries for booking actuals and accruals timely and accurately, performs account reconciliation of payroll GL accounts. Executes Hire to Retire Cycle review and assist in Legal Entity Review for accounts specific to Payroll

  • Coordinates with and provides GL team the necessary input to reconcile payroll GL account balances;

  • Coordinate with HR on various requirements to include in processing payroll;

  • Assist in the end to end review process of payroll calculation output by Payroll provider including review of payroll components as may be assigned by the team lead

  • Acts as main administrator of the leaves in the GRID and timekeeping in the online system;

  • Assist the payroll supervisor in ensuring that all receivables from employees are deducted accurately and on time;

  • Handles direct coordination with HR Deparment and with various business units on process issues resolution and improvements;

  • Assist the payroll supervisor and HR in coordinating with employees regarding queries on payroll such as deductions, withholding taxes and other payroll related matters

  • Ensures that all statutory deductions and loans such as withholding taxes, SSS, Philhealth, Pagibig are remitted and reports are submitted on time;

  • Ensures strict compliance to SOX controls. Participates on regular internal and external audits and special projects. May work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes.

  • Will have involvement/participation in any future payroll transition projects;

  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned by superiors concerning payroll related matters

Requirements:

  • Graduate of BS in Accountancy, CPA would be an advantage

  • 3 to 4 years experience in accounting and payroll

  • Customer service oriented

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Aggressive, highly analytical, strong willed, flexible

  • Keen to details and well organized, attentive to details

  • Proficient in excel and powerpoint

  • Knowledge in Oracle, SOX

  • Applicant should be willing to work in Laguna
