Task Area and main tasks
- Identify, Prioritize, Aggregate and Balance Product Requirements and Resources
◾ The process of identifying, prioritizing, and considering, all sources of demand,
material and other resources used to add value to a product. It includes the process of
developing a timephased course of action ans projected appropriation that commits
resources to meet requirements.
◾ Define planning structure with planning methods per production level
- Order RAW Material (Sched. Agreement / Purch. Order)
◾ Ordering and managing the execution of the individual deliveries of RAW material
against the scheduling agreement or purchase order. The requirements for RAW material
deliveries are determined based on the detailed sourcing plan.
◾ MRP run and validation
◾ Transfer delivery schedule to supplier
◾ Material availability assurance
- Return Defective or Excess Supplier Material
The return and disposition determination of defective or excess Supplier Matieral as defined by the
warranty claims, material recall, nonconforming material and/or other similar policies including
appropriate replacement. It Includes any type of material not conforming to specifications (including order
nonconformance such as late or otherwise improper delivery); company business rules determine the
definition of ‘defective' or ´excess´. The physical disposition of the material may not be part of the return
- Manage Raw Material Inventory
◾ The process of establishing and maintaining physical inventories and inventory
information. This includes warehouse management, cycle counting, physical inventories
and inventory reconciliation.
◾ Perform 3rd party warehouse stock accuary management
◾ Maintain & optimize expired material / slow material / obsoletes (for raw material)
◾ Perform material shortage & allocation management process (MSM) (in alignment
with launch & change mgmt specialist).
◾ Logistics processes in Product Termination Notification and Product Change
Notificaition process (PTN/PCN) (in alignment with launch & change mgmt specialist).
◾ Manage Sourcing Agreements (in alignment with launch & change mgmt specialist).
◾ Knowledge of Continental business processes (Focus: Longterm, mediumterm and
shortterm production planning)
◾ Continental SC & Logistics standards, processes and instruments on Material
◾ Knowledge of Conti's countryspecifics for Procurement Processes (e.g. Nota Fiscal,
◾ Operational experience
◾ Locally applicable specific logistics related regulations (e.g. consigment regulations,
◾ SAP/ IT knowledge of SAP R/3 MM, Bensberg, DCC
◾ Moderation and presentation
◾ Project management
