Position Purpose

This position is needed to ensure the plant runs safely, productively and reliably. The incumbent would also be responsible for all maintenance and reliability programs and take a proactive role in ensuring minimal disruption to the plant operations. He/She would also be leading a team of employees to carry out the maintenance work.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Perform / verify engineering and designs on maintenance repair and replacement work through calculations and rationalizations

  • Assist and is responsible for all plant repairs and maintenance work, including troubleshooting and problem-solving plant equipment issues

  • Validate and verify material and spare parts specifications

  • Ensure that inventory is kept at proper level

  • Verify and keep track of maintenance department financial account through review and analysis; Prepare and track annual budget for repairs and maintenance

  • Supervise and ensure that work carried out by maintenance team is done as per specifications and standards (BS, ASME)

  • Daily enforcement on safety (both employees and contractors working on our premises), especially when new jobs are assigned

  • Provide assistance in designing a proactive (preventative and predictive) maintenance program

  • Guide and supervise the team in complex engineering work

  • Oversee the mechanical, reliability and electrical teams and provide guidance and leadership

  • Coach and train team members in technical engineering and EHS areas

  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned



  • Engineering degree from a reputable University, majoring in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Maintenance role; with experience in a manufacturing environment that has good safety standard

  • Certified and recognized engineer

  • Knowledge in working with mechanical equipment

  • Knowledge about unit operations and transport processes, machine elements, power plant, material property, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics

  • Computer literate (MS Office)

  • Good communication and people management skills

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
