The Walt Disney Company Marketing Manager, Media Networks in Makati City, Philippines

Based in Manila, this position is responsible for spearheading and executing consumer and trade marketing initiatives for Disney Media Networks in the Philippines. Consumer brands include Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Disney’s portfolio of multi-platform content services, games and apps, featuring content from Marvel, Star Wars, Mickey and Friends, Disney Princess, Pixar and ABC Studios. Trade partners include media platforms, broadcasters and telcos, spanning the spectrum from linear TV to digital content services.

The Marketing Manager role will be responsible for all local consumer and trade marketing engagement activities, including building consumer brands, forging local partnerships, driving multi-platform reach through social innovation, on-ground experiences, publicity and retail programs.

The candidate must be a self-starter who is meticulous, creative and highly organized, with the capability to manage multiple internal & external stakeholders, and a deep understanding of the local consumer environment. Especially critical is a strong understanding of what it takes to market non-linear digital content services. He/she will be responsible for creating a unique Disney difference for our clients and driving transactions, acquisitions and apps installs. He/she will also conceptualize and deliver trade outreach and engagement initiatives, including trade events, hospitality initiatives, premiums and collaterals.

The ideal candidate is energetic, solutions driven and ROI-centric, in order to ensure our campaigns deliver against set ROIs in brand and business. Attention to detail and a good eye for quality on-brand execution are absolutely mandatory.

Responsibilities :

The responsibilities of this position include (but not limited) to the following:

Consumer Marketing:

  • Implement go-to-market consumer plans in the Philippines for Disney’s brands.

  • Leverage owned, earned and bought media opportunities in the market to drive reach and engagement among consumers for core brands & franchises.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to maximise visibility of Disney Media Networks brands across multiple platforms and events.

  • Develop marketing partnerships and initiatives to drive reach and revenues by working closely with Disney retail partners in-market.

  • Work with the Disney’s social media and digital teams to drive consumer growth for Media Networks brands in the Philippines.

·Devise analytic and monitor performance for each campaign.

Trade Marketing:

  • Extend top notch & personalized front line pre & post-sale marketing support to all linear & non-linear clients in Philippines. This ranges from managing client’s day-to day requests in order to help them better promote Media Networks titles across all platforms (i.e. FTA, PTV, Digital), to formulating internal/external presentations for sales executives with the objective of getting clients excited about Disney’s content services.

  • Initiate subscriber acquisition and retention promotions to increase reach and distribution.

  • Engage clients to drive partnership promotional values through multiple platforms, including on-air, online, mobile, social and on-ground experiences.

  • Organize sales incentives and training initiatives to educate partner sales teams.

  • Work closely with telco partners in-market to develop and enhance performance of digital services, including the development of marketing initiatives and data reporting.

  • Pro-actively identify partnership opportunities with other Disney business units & offer them strategically to clients who can best leverage these marketing opportunities to drive franchise, relevance and business growth.

  • Manage premiums and marketing collaterals sourcing and development, from idea generation, vendor sourcing and approval process to inventory management.

  • Initiate and support Disney’s presence at trade and consumer events, to drive incremental value to Disney Media Networks.

Basic Qualifications :

  • A university degree.

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in marketing, preferably in a related industry. Excellent communication & English language copy writing skills are essential.

  • A strong understanding of digital and social media marketing.

  • Proven track record in a consumer marketing or account management role preferred

  • Demonstrates drive for superior results and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Possess excellent oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills with ability to elicit desired results.

  • Exceptional work ethic and a personal commitment to high-quality deliverables.

  • A self-starter who is organized, resourceful and able to take initiatives with attention to detail.

  • Must have a passion for TV, social & digital content.

  • Positive attitude and able to work independently, but also collaborate as an effective team member in sharing knowledge and best practices.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required – Photoshop a plus.

  • Experience working with Mac OS (Keynote) is a bonus.
