HIGH LEVEL JOB DESCRIPTION/SCOPE:
The successful candidate for this position will benefit from broad exposure to a multiple Business Partners across the globe, and from learning critical business processes used throughout the enterprise. The SAP Application org provides solution and supports the world-wide implementation of SAP, and team members work closely with colleagues in US, Buenos Aires, India and elsewhere. With Project LEAP and other high-level ERP initiatives underway, SAP Finance will be a challenging, demanding, and rewarding place to work in the next few years, and the person in this position will have the opportunity to be a part of that evolution. The work involves providing Systems Applications Products (SAP) project implementations or modifications/enhancements and consultancy to business application end-users located across Chevron's global operations to ensure system integrity and quality. This person may also be tapped to provide support to the Operations team.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
•Working closely with Business Partners to gather business requirements
•Analyzing and understanding system capabilities
•Configuring the SAP software to meet business needs
•Working with developers to design and implement custom solutions
•Devising, executing, and analyzing system tests to verify solutions’ effectiveness
•Overseeing the deployment of those solutions to the production environments
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information systems or Business, Finance, or Accounting
•3-4 years of SAP Finance application support or implementation experience
•Excellent customer focus and results-orientation
•Excellent communication skills in both oral and written
•Occasional domestic or international travel could be required
•Experience in working on or using SAP or other ERP
•Experience working in a global, multi-cultural IT Support Model environment.
Relocation will not be considered.
