The Enterprise IT Project Management Office (EITPMO) provides IT function project and portfolio oversight, standards, and project execution excellence of multi-million dollar IT initiatives. This is a great opportunity to work with various Leaders, business partners and IT PMO teams.

The PMO Analyst is responsible for analyzing the IT project portfolio data, provide reporting needs to various leaders, and give SME support to Microsoft Project & Portfolio Management system (MS PPM) and related tools.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Works with and provides data, process, and functional support to the users of the project and portfolio management (PPM) tools, reporting, and data analytics providing guidance on process-related and system-related questions and issues. This position is a primary support for the Asia-Pacific region.

  • Work with PMO Leads (Enterprise and Operational/Business Units) to design, develop, execute and support MS Project Server supporting tools, processes, workflows, reports, and documentation.

  • Analyze PPM data and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Actively contributes to ensure PPM data quality working across different technical and support groups where needed.

  • Contributes to MS PPM related project efforts (i.e. Testing, Author Documentation, Data Loading).

  • Participates in weekly and/or monthly meeting calls with other teams/remote locations. Able to co-ordinate among the geographically distributed stakeholders. Works as part of a functional support team based in Texas, California and Manila and collaborates with a technical support team in India and Houston.

Competencies Required for the Position: (Candidate’s reference when completing self-assessment) (As position owner, identify four competencies).

  • TECHNICAL SKILLS - Proficiency with MS Excel, data manipulating, and macro development. Basic to intermediate knowledge of MS Project Server including related reporting tools. Experience and know-how on Data Analytics & Quality, and Reporting.

  • ANALYTICAL AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS - Good analytical and resolution skills. Basic awareness or understanding of portfolio and project management, project execution processes and data. With customer focus and works to understand the drivers both technical and business in problem solving. Has keen attention to details.

  • EXPERIENCE AND INTERESTS - Experience in a Data and Business Analyst roles. Ability to analyze a set of data according to business need, synthetize and present results effectively to various levels of audience. Has a keen interest in portfolio and project management governance and processes.

  • LEADERSHIP AND TEAMWORK – Capability to communicate with business and IT professionals effectively; both written and oral. Collaborate with globally dispersed teams to work toward a common goal and work independently to produce high quality results. Has the ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities with support groups, end users and vendor’s resources.

Required Qualifications:(Base requirements of the position)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, data manipulation, and macro development

  • Fundamental know-how in Data Analytics, Quality, and Reporting

  • Experience in Business Analysis and Documentation

  • Basic awareness to fundamental application of PowerPivot

  • Basic awareness to fundamental application of SharePoint and other collaborative tools

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of MS Project Server

  • Excellent Communication Skills in both oral & written. Able to communicate effectively with both business partners and other IT professionals

  • Demonstrated application of analytical skills

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent assignments, meet deadlines, prioritizes requests

  • Ability to work independently while producing high quality work

Preferred Qualifications:(Nice to have requirements of the position)

  • Basic awareness to fundamental application of the following:

  • MS Sequel

  • SSRS and Power BI

  • AGILE/SCRUM project management

  • Experience working in a global, multi-cultural IT Support Model environment.

  • Elementary awareness on Project Management standards and processes
