The primary purpose of the SAP Database Sales Specialist is to help the SAP Platform Solutions Group achieve the overall revenue goal for the SAP Database business in Philippines . The role would be an authority in the ‘HANA and Sybase domain’ from an applications and technology stand point. (Databases, Applications running on HANA i.e. SOH, S/4HANA, Big Data and Sybase ASE/IQ). Knowledge of In Memory computing architectures would be extremely relevant.
In order to achieve this goal, the SAP Database Sales Specialist must create a complete Product (SAP Database) business plan that generates at least 4x their quota in pipeline opportunity. The Database Sales Specialist is responsible to work with the Specialist Sales lead and develop/drive business development for the HANA Solutions strategy for Digital Transformation of SAP customers.

Individually takes ownership of creating and driving sales opportunities in the assigned territory for
Works with the regional team to develop and execute programs to drive HANA pipeline. (4x). Regular Pipeline Monitoring is a key activity.
Works with the Industry Account Executives and Virtual Account Team to educate target accounts on the solution set and participate in account planning for strategic deals.
Works with Marketing team on sales & awareness campaigns.
Leads efforts to establish, develop, and expand market share and revenue attainment within Named & Strategic Accounts via Deal Support working with the Presales Organization (Deal Support could be for developing a Solution Strategy, playing an advisory role or a resource manager.
Develops solutions best practices (Path to Simplifications) securing repeatable and expansive opportunities across the region.
Nurtures Strategic Partners relationships working with the GPO Organization.
Develops value propositions for the HANA solutions portfolio for customers & prospects in their territory. Focuses on the need to realign our strategy by following trends in the HANA business in future years. (IoT, Big Data)
Strategic business knowledge of Database & Technology market, including business trends and developments, buying behaviors and strategies.
SAP defines Database & Technology as that solution portfolio which includes the following products:
HANA in memory database
Sybase ASE, IQ and Replication Server
5 years of experience in positioning business software and/or IT solutions in Applications, Database & Technologies. (Preferred SAP Applications & Tech Portfolio). Preferred experience in an Apps Tech environment i.e. drive value conversations on technology emphasizing HANA/In Memory computing architectures from a business point of view.
The Ability to build relationships and quickly develop trust with C-Level executives
Proven track record in target over-achievement.
