looking for a highly qualified

Project Controls Engineer . Selected candidate will serve as the U.S. Department of State's Project Controls Engineer during the major rehabilitation of the U.S. Embassy in Manila, Philippines.

Position will require full-time deployment to Manila, Philippines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for the full gamut of construction project controls including report drafting and production (MS Office Suite), cost management, schedule management (Primavera), change order management, and submittal and Request for Information (RFI) management The selected individual will be responsible for managing the operations of the field office as related to the construction contract's cost and schedule, managing and supervising data entry, and reviewing contractor's monthly application for payment and advising the Project Director of findings.

  • In addition, the Project Controls Engineer will assist in preparation of Independent Government Estimates (IGEs), provide support to the Project Director in all contract administration matters, maintain the daily construction log, prepare minutes of meetings, and undertake other duties as assigned by the Project Director


Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION:

  • Minimum of a Final Secret clearance
  • Minimum of 7 years of on-site experience as a Project Controls Engineer on Vertical Construction Projects
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Controls Engineer on Vertical Construction Projects
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Engineering (any discipline), Engineering Management, Construction Management, or Construction Engineering; or in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree, must hold an active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Must be certified as one of the following:

    Certified Cost Consultant, Certified Cost Engineer, Certified Cost Technician, or Certified Estimating Professional

  • Must have recent experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Prior work on overseas U.S. Embassy projects is preferred but not mandatory
