Description

Position Purpose

Part of Cargill-Joy’s Plant Engineering Department, maintenance/ plant technician positions will serve and expected to maintain all auxiliary and production equipment’s to keep it at its best safe conditions by applying and ensuring proper maintenance care, repair, recondition.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and update mechanical preventive/ predictive maintenance program for Production equipment. Maintain plant and equipment and perform repair and trouble shooting.

  • Timely verification of maintenance tasks in accordance to Cargill procedures, industry practices, and calibration standards. Support and applies standards based on Reliability Excellence requirements.

  • Manage tools, test pieces, standards, and documentation. Maintain orderliness of maintenance room.

  • Conduct kaizen or initiates kaizen point for safety, quality, productivity, costs and environment improvement.

  • Other duties as assigned/flexibility at work- can do both mechanical/electrical maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Mechanical Technology graduate/Technical and or Vocational Graduate with basic electrical background.

  • In addition to the above, at least two years cumulative experience as Technician or a similar position, within a manufacturing organization.

  • Experience with mechanical trouble shooting/ repair, parts overhauling and replacement.

  • Experience with mechanical equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings/schematics.

  • Basic knowledge in Electrical operation (hardwiring/tracing).

  • Basic knowledge in computers, MS Office, specifically in Word and Excel

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong attention to details.

  • Works well in a team or individual environment

  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Willing to work in Sto.Tomas, Batangas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate of Mechanical and or Electrical Technology Course.

  • Experience Hands on skills in system operation and maintenance (Conveyors, pump, compressors, HVAC, power systems).

  • Experience with manufacturing companies.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
