The Commercial Finance Analyst acts as the primary business partner of the Commercial, Marketing and Supply Teams. The jobholder is responsible guiding the different functions towards the strategic objectives of the company. As a business partner, the jobholder is also responsible for providing decision support in the service of performance.

The role is inherently multifunctional and provides the jobholder with challenging opportunities for holistic growth. It invariably requires close collaboration with people from all levels within the organization.

Top Accountabilities:

  1. Business Partnership – The jobholder is expected to build strong relationships with his/her internal customers towards genuine business partnering. Rather than just a “support” function, the role empowers the jobholder to be co-owners of performance of the functions he/she partners with.

  2. Decision Support – The commercial finance analyst is expected to play an integral role in the journey towards a data driven organization. The role requires the jobholder not only to provide data but to analyse and drive conversations using numbers and learnings.

  3. Driving Productivity – The role requires the jobholder to constantly challenge the way things are being run to drive efficiencies and productivity. This covers all aspects of the business, such as Net Revenue Management (NRM), Cost Efficiency, Commercial/Marketing Spending (M&E), Procurement, Organizational Effectiveness and Cash Conversion.

  4. Controls – As the first point of contact of the commercial and marketing functions, the jobholder also serves as the primary control against non-compliance. He/she is expected to hold the sales and marketing teams accountable to control policies.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance

  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically MS Excel and other analytical tools

  • Financial modelling and forecasting

  • Budget management

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Commercial mindset
