External Job Description:


The role of a Key Account Manager is to holistically grow our business in terms of trading profit, QDVP3 execution , P & L , value market share and customer satisfaction. Responsible for leading and developing field sales & key account teams spanning across the country, to deliver ”every day great execution”

Top Accountabilities:

  • Deliver Account performance targets :- by leading a sales team of and influencing relevant elements of P&L

  • Own & drive Sales Strategy:- in the region (aligned to Philippines strategy) and execution plans to deliver value share gains and financial leverage

  • Sales Driver Activities:- Work with Customer Marketing & Marketing teams to ensure efficient and effective implementation Brand & Trade activities

  • M & Es :-Continue to improve execution through insightful M&Es

  • Customers:-Nurture Customer relationships internal & External & implement category growth plans, Understand customer dynamics& needs

  • Insights:- -Contribute commercial insight

  • Forecasting & Planning – Annual, quarterly , Monthly planning( S&Op) – brand/ sku wise/ JUBP for Key customers

Ways of Working:

Time in trade

You are expected to work a minimum 9 hours a day as per timelines agreed with your line manager

One administration day per week is available but must be agreed in advance with line manager

PJP – Permanent Journey Plan

Creates PJP/ Beat plan (as per guidelines ) and submits to the line manager by last day of the previous month


Synchronize daily in the morning & evening, Including when away from home

Email’s should be checked every morning and evening.

Meetings & Calls

Prepare and submit MOR Reports on time and attend all meetings and Calls as scheduled

Create a customer contact matrix( approved by line manager ) to ensure he/she is meeting the right level of contact

Hold regular QBRs with customers

Coordinate and work with cross function teams to deliver customer commitments

Accompaniment Days ( visits )

When your line manager or guest is working with you in the trade you must follow your standard PJP


Business appropriate dress should be worn when out in trade (Business shirts & trousers for Men , business attire for Women)

Remember that you are representing Diageo at all times, dress, language and conduct should be professional and appropriate at all times.

Selling Tools

You must carry updated 8X6 selling tools (Sales Presenter, Pen, POS, Objective Planning sheet, Customer Record ) when in trade/ Up to date Reserve selling tools

Laptops must be adequately charge d to carry out the MIS tool inputs

Sales presenter must be updated with the latest cycle brief tools and in good condition

Writing pads/ Diaries to be carried to take notes


Expenses ( concur ) to be submitted at the end of every month as per T & E policy

Sickness - All sick leaves to be confirmed in writing to the line manager prior to or on the day of taking leave( post returning to work in case of emergency)

Medical certificates to be submitted as per policy

Privilege leaves are informed in advance

Leave card is updated with approvals
