Role: Core HR Process Consultant


  • The Process Consultant will explain the rationale for global process design decisions including linkages to business objectives and employee experience, technology enablement and service delivery models.

  • With the Regional or Country teams and Project team, identify process deviations during the Fit Compliance sessions and subsequent follow up activities.

  • Analyse the deviation and provide assessment of the deviation validity and rationale for submission to governance process.

  • Identify process related risks and issues for the Region.

  • Identify mitigation strategies for these risks and issues and escalate as required.

  • Support knowledge transfer to Shared Services teams.

  • Tracks status of deviations and other deliverables for project reporting.


Essential Functions of the role:

The role is part of the HR Process team which acts as custodian of the global models and focuses on continuous improvement and alignment to those model

  • The Process Consultant represents the approved global process model for the assigned functional area during the global deployment project, bringing subject matter expertise to the deployment team and recipients, championing alignment to those processes, articulating user experience and supporting technologies and Service and regional Talent operating models.

  • Facilitates project workshops, including preparation of workshop materials and conducts additional process review activities per region/country as required- as part of the FitCompliance phase of the project – to ensure the global process model can be deployed effectively.

  • Identifies where deployment of the global process model may require deviations, localizations and prepares supporting rationale for review and approval/rejection by appropriate governance.

  • Manages input from legal experts/counsel as required, to evaluate rationale for proposed deviations.

  • Tracks deviations and informs the Global Process Lead of opportunities to improve global models.

  • Ensures adherence to agreed change control process during review/validation/approval of proposed process deviations.

  • Supports change team to drive adoption of the models

  • Works with other Process Analysts to ensure appropriate update of global process documentation to reflect agreed exceptions/deviations, and in accordance with document management protocols, ensures storage in appropriate documentation repository.

Analytical / Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • Connects with other project team members to gather inputs

  • Ability to review and critically analyze regional processes and determine validity of deviation or readiness to align to global process models (considering readiness, legal and other inputs).

  • Detailed knowledge of HR Processes and supporting technology with a focus on agreed functional area

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of Process Improvement methodologies

  • Change Management skills

  • Proven problem solving and analytic capability

  • Stakeholder management and demonstrated ability to work across teams (virtual, global)

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, to develop and deliver engaging workshops, with complex and detailed subject matter content

  • Global mindset and the ability to work and consult in a virtual environment

  • Proficiency in the use of process documentation and process mapping software (Visio)

Supervision Responsibilities:

No direct reports but participates in project structure where work assignment and monitoring is required

Other Requirements:

  • Travel required


Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management


  • 3 years of HR process and implementation experience

  • Work experience in a Process role required with subject matter expertise of HR Processes or within Shared Services

  • Facilitation of process deployment projects

  • Experience in supporting process change in a global organization, ideally in professional services or consulting

  • Stakeholder management expertise, with a demonstrated ability to work successfully across teams

  • Experience working in virtual teams, cross border teaming either projects or formal structures

  • Experience work within transformation projects

  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge of functional HR processes
