Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns. As part of a global team of 10,000 professionals in 100 countries you will advise clients on preserving, optimising, raising or investing capital. Major groups (or, as we call them, sub-service lines and competencies) within TAS include Mergers and Acquisition Services, Project Finance, Restructuring Services, Operational Transaction Services, Transaction Support, Transaction Tax, and Valuation and Business Modelling.

Summary of role
Our Transaction Support team aims to assist clients throughout the entire transaction process, and works closely with other specialists within TAS and other Service Lines. While traditional financial due diligence is a key element of our work, transaction support is much broader, incorporating assistance with strategic assessment, transaction management, negotiation and documentation, and post-completion processes.
The Manager should be able to:
1. Lead teams to analyze the financial and operational results of companies targeted for sale by reviewing financial information and leading interviews with management.
2. Work effectively as a team leader by demonstrating commitment to quality, sharing technical and other knowledge within the cross-service line team, managing and reviewing the team’s output, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on their progress.
3. Help create a positive learning culture for associate team members and support their development.
4. Provide support in developing and maintaining client relationships, account management, learning and development, coaching and recruitment, and other initiatives growing the market for transaction advisory services.
Understand the key business drivers, co-developing our approach with the client, agreeing value measurements with the client, providing value to the client through insights, factual conclusions and advice
Manage project teams and work closely with all members as well as forming strong internal links within transaction support, the rest of transaction advisory services and other service lines both in the Firm and internationally to form multi-disciplinary teams
Gather, verify and analyze information, and formulate views
Lead a project team to plan, prepare and review deliverables in various forms including Excel Databooks, written reports, presentations and discussions with the client
Plan and monitor the progress of the team
Understand the capabilities of the firm and look for opportunities to sell additional services to our clients
Build and develop internal and external networks through personal contacts
Play a role in business plan initiatives (e.g. key accounts, recruitment, client service framework)
Be a true business advisor to the client and establish yourself as a key client contact
Take responsibility for own learning and development, provide coaching to others, and participate in upward feedback
Share technical and other knowledge with your team
Strong academic record
Business development experience or commercial awareness gained through direct experience in a transaction support or external audit executive role (if previously an audit manager or senior associate)
Project management skills
Excellent analytical and financial advisory skills
Ability to work well within a team and build relationships at all levels
Effective written and verbal communication
Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
Ability to keep calm when under pressure to meet deadlines
Coaching and mentoring skills
