About the opportunity

The Director of Business Development is responsible forleading the development, maintenance and advancement of client relationshipsthrough sales strategies and client contacts resulting in new contracts andadded value for our clients in their nominated Market Sector.

Consistently advocate and adhere to businessdevelopment process and procurement integrity guidelines, providing overallbusiness development management for the Philippines Buildings &Infrastructure activities within their assigned market sector.

TheDirector is a key partner to the Country Manager

Key responsibilities include

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, operations, and insidesales team; cultivates new clients.

  • Assumes primary responsibility for client relationships and salesstrategies in their market sector

  • Leads the development of sales strategies, win plans, and go/no-godecisions, working closely with inside sales and operations throughout thesales process

  • Tracks and shares client relationship developments with sales teamthrough call reports and sales database entries

  • Maintains and enforces client confidentiality, procurement integrity,gatekeeper approval, and company Identity Program compliance

  • Lead the application of GSOP 110 risk managementprocedures. Negotiates sales contracts, with support from operations,legal, and contract groups

  • Works with sales and operations teams to assess resource availabilityand assemble project teams

  • Coach/train/develop key operational team members within the team in; RBSfundamentals, Seeing and communicating with clients, Effective callplanning/execution/debriefing, Protecting the Balance Sheet –Intelligent/manageable risk, Business Acumen, Core and key client leadershipand engagement (including delivering on our promises).

  • Actively engage in and lead business growth strategydevelopment/implementation in partnership with your area and market partners,to include key hires, taking intelligent risk, providing broader services, newmarkets and clients. Provide key input into strategies forPhilippines.

  • Engage directly in key pursuit activities during Middle and End Game,as a coach and mentor with the team, in order to improve winning rate andtraining of the sales and operations team. Work with the CountryManager, EDS and RISM to ensure key operation leaders are actively engaged inclient leadership and sales pursuits.

  • Ensure core and key client strategies in your market are developed andbeing implemented.

  • Work collaboratively with each area and other market sectors to drivestrategies and sales especially with common clients and markets.

  • Lead by example, by holding, building and leading multiple activeclient relationships with contacts across your market sector and hold the saleslead role for at least one key/core client organisation.

  • Deliver your individual sales goals/ budgets/ targets.

  • While reporting separately, inside sales is your critical businesspartner. You must work closely with the RISM’s to ensure you have atrained, experienced and strong team, working collaboratively and effectivelywith the Director of Operations. This includes all aspects of the above.

Qualifications

About you

  • A Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering or Project Management

  • 15 years’ relevant experience in Business Development Sales, Buildings & Infrastructure

  • Competitive Intelligence

  • Business Intelligence, knowing all about your business services and products is essential including Market Analysis

  • Collaboration Skills, it involves collaboration with multiple parties from inside and outside the Company.

  • Negotiation Skills & Persuasion Skills, carry out what needs to be done and in order to do that you will need to win hearts, mind and trust.

  • Conflict Resolution and Negotiation

  • Knowledge Management

  • Strategic planning for future development is a key part of this job description, since it’s the business manager’s responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming in to the company. This requires thorough knowledge of the market place and of the company competitor’s.
