Key Responsibilities:

  • Advisory/guidance to the businesses on applicable regulations and Citi policies including: formulating gap analyses using the applicable inventory system; embedding compliance standards in business plans, technology systems, applications and processes; reviewing RCM controls and CAPs for adequacy

  • Advisory/guidance to the businesses on compliance risk arising from: new, modified or existing products, services, operations; significant changes in laws, regulations or industry practices; customer communications/materials and internal product programs, transaction or approval memos, deals, etc.

  • Compliance Monitoring Program activities, including review thereof

  • Compliance Risk Assessment (CARA) to identify Citi’s compliance risks from country, regional and global perspectives, including obtaining quantitative and qualitative input from businesses, Global Functions and external sources

  • Coordinate/Liaise with regulators; monitor regulatory changes; manage regulatory inquiries, requests, communications and examinations; secure licenses; etc.

  • Advisory/guidance to the businesses in internal examinations (ex. IA, ICRM Testing)

  • Development of relevant compliance trainings

  • Surveillance, monitoring and review activities (ex. sampling review, investigation of level 2 alerts, review of surveillance parameters)

  • Support and attendance/assistance on various governance committees which involves providing compliance updates, monitoring of compliance related issues and ensuring that committee charters are updated, where applicable

  • Support Regional and Global Compliance priorities through timely response to regional survey requests and other regional or global initiatives

  • Review from regulatory standpoint, outsourcing proposals from the Business, Global Functions and Operations and Technology teams

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in governance and risk and control environment

  • Experience in a financial services environment

  • Experience working in a fast-paced multinational environment

  • Pro-active, self-starter, ability to take initiative

  • Proven ability to meet program and regulatory objectives and deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
