SAS Institute Inc. Senior Sales Specialist - Cloud in Manila, Philippines
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in working with customers and business partners to understand their needs for Cloud based solutions. This front line role will utilize their experience to assess requirements, evaluate options, and assist in solution design for current and new offerings. Will represent SAS in a variety of situations to demonstrate our capabilities in the Cloud area.
The core objectives of the role are:
Builds customer networks, especially with C-levels and senior executives.
Participates in Cloud Consortium Organizations in ASEAN counties and attends industry functions to promote SAS and identify new opportunities for Account Executives.
Collaborates with field Account Executives to support enterprise cloud opportunities.
Identifies and develops new opportunities in partner led cloud offerings leveraging market data to prioritize and align with country and regional cross functional resources
Works with country and regional cross functional leadership to translate strategy into specific initiatives. Aligns roles and responsivities during initiative approval, offering development, project execution, and go live support.
Analyzes industry trends and other market information to identify opportunities.
Participates with senior management to identify and establish objectives, assignments, and goals in accordance with regional or national strategic plans; may recommend specific customers and business partners for execution of specific initiatives.
Creates demand generation and customer or business partner relationship management programs from content design through implementation and results tracking to ensure that objectives are met.
Provides overall project management and coordination for customer and/or business partner specific initiatives. Directs project defined internal resources, including pre- sales and post-sales services, contracts, and/or partner relationships. Aligns execution with identified 3rd party partners.
Keeps abreast of new company product development and marketing strategies; relates technical concepts to SAS software applications and user needs.
Serves as a resource to staff and management to recommend general direction and structure to implement activities associated with related projects and initiatives.
Makes recommendations to executive levels of management with respect to the negotiation of complex business matters.
Serves as an internal education resources on Cloud and As-a-service (IaaS, PaaS…) go-to-market approaches, delivery, support, and pricing strategies.
To be successful in this role you will require:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role or in a customer role with direct applied experience in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) space; Knowledge of sales and product marketing techniques, or business partner relationship development strategies.
A proven track-record of achievement in building or implementing Cloud or As-a-service (IaaS, PaaS, API) technology solutions
Domain expertise in either government or financial services. Serve as a subject matter expert, with an eye of how to leverage such knowledge across solution development, delivery and customer engagement.
Strong aptitude and attitude to learn and contribute as part of a team as well as independently
Ability to work within a dynamic environment demonstrating initiative and sense of ownership and accountability while collaborating with peers across functional and geographic responsibility
Ability to develop accurate scoping and project plans for cloud offerings and negotiation of necessary 3rd party contracts
High-level customer relationship skills with the ability to build and maintain strong business ties
Strong business acumen skills, MBA preferred
Travel within ASEAN and International (as required)
Prior experience in Cloud product management is a plus
