The Cost Accountant is responsible for (a) providing accurate and timely costs information (b) ensuring that accounting transactions related to inventory costs are complete, accurately recorded in a timely manner (c) ensuring that inventories are properly valued, exists and supportable and are presented and disclosed in the financial statement according to GAAP and Cargill accounting policies.


  • Provides accurate and timely cost information from breeders to hatchery to growout

  • Provides Feeds cost, DOC and medicine cost per breeders and per flock

  • Ensure that all inventories are valued correctly and in accordance with Cargill Inventory Valuation Policy

  • Ensures compliance to GAAP and Cargill Accounting Policy

  • Work with Ag team to get data for the costing of eggs and toll fee for the hatchery

  • Provides cost for the eggs to arrived at the correct cost of internal DOC produced

  • Computes for the intra sales from breeders to hatchery and from hatchery to growout

ANALYSIS & Month end requirement

  • Compute month-end accruals related to inventory costing for the agri products

  • Provides analysis for the costing of DOC and medicines


Participates in and helps in the computation of growers fee for the breeders and growout

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance …

  • 2-3 year accounting working experience within a multinational company

  • Experience with JDE system is preferred

  • Willingness and capability to grow further in to the Finance organization

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Preferably have handled cost accounting

  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written

  • Basic knowledge of IAS and/or US GAAP

  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadline

  • Keen eye for details and clarity of thoughts

  • Willing to learn than taught, does not wait to be told with strong initiative

  • Team player, able to work with people of varying backgrounds, cultures and position

  • Result oriented and capable of working with strict guidelines
