The candidate is expected to:

  • Work with clients to offer a full payroll function service, from set up of a payroll system and process improvement advice to payroll processing

  • Be the main point of contact for a variety of clients for any day-to-day payroll queries

  • Be involved in payroll checking, reconciliation and payroll audit compliance for a range of clients

  • Liaise with our overseas talent hub to ensure payroll processing is completed on time, managing both internal and client deadlines

  • Update payroll records as necessary by entering changes in components such as but not limited exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.

  • Be able to determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other statutory payments as required.

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies/queries by collecting and analyzing information.

  • Analyze payroll information so as to answer questions and requests.

  • Perform adhoc reporting and other duties as necessary

The following are the qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years full function payroll experience including FBT, payroll tax, superannuation as well as payroll processing

  • Experience in Australia and New Zealand payroll essential

  • Exceptional client management skills, including experience dealing with payroll for with 200 or more employees
