In this role, the trainer will keep abreast of various training delivery techniques, business processes, products and systems in specific areas of expertise.
This could encompass training of Claims or Customer Service individuals in the Training Delivery Operational functions and could include some aspects of the design process. Positions in this function are primarily responsible for the effective delivery of training programs across the organization.
The Trainer keeps abreast of various training delivery techniques, business processes, products and systems.
This individual may also be involved in the design process.
Positions delivering operations specific training, such as Claims or Customer Service, are in the Training Delivery-Operational function.
*Employees in jobs labeled with SCA must support a government Service Contract Act (SCA) agreement. The Trainer assists with the creation of new course materials, updates existing training materials and programs, delivers employee training (product training and performance improvement trainings), and recommends improvements to trainings, and monitors training impact and effectiveness. Primary Responsibilities: Assist with instructional design and training development Formulate training outlines and determine instructional methods, such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, workshops/hands on etc.
Select and/or develop training aids such as training handbooks, job aids etc.
Organize, coordinate and communicate training programs for the business Conduct new hire training and cross skilling sessions using innovative methods that increase retention and enhance cost effectiveness Responsible for measuring and tracking pre and post training performance Responsible for tracking assessment scores approved/standardized curriculum Develop strong relationships with all departments to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training Maintain trainee personnel records/learning history Deliver ongoing refresher/remedial training based on the development needs Monitor, record, and evaluate training activities and program effectiveness Provide feedback to management on individual and group training results Monitor calls from a product and communication skills perspective and provide coaching thereafter Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing with current Philippine RN license with an active US license 2 years bedside clinical experience 2 years related experience in training (product) 2+ years of experience conducting classroom training and/or seminar/workshop topics Proven presentation and facilitation skills Skill in writing reports and correspondence Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, and curriculum development techniques Prior experience working effectively in a highly matrix organization Strong computer skills Strong work ethic, independence, and dependability Excellent time management, planning, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities Effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills and drives for results individually and in a team setting Ability to develop and proof read training materials Ability to suggest enhancements to existing training programs Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or graphic form Ability to function independently in a multi-tasking environment, as well as part of a team Ability to interact comfortably with employees at all levels of the organization Ability to motivate Quality focused Attention to detail Preferred Qualification: Experience in communication skills training Careers with Optum.
